Gate Access

RESIDENT ACCESS
Residents must be registered in the POA office in order to purchase an RFID (radio frequency identification) sticker.  This sticker will provide quicker access through the Resident Lane on the right.  The fee is $10.00/RFID, cash or check.  RFIDs are non-transferrable.
 
 
GUEST ACCESS
All residents utilize GateHouse Solutions to register their guests for access to Carolina Lakes.  The gate will not register guests through the non-emergency line.  Guests should be registered no less than 15 minutes prior to arrival; unregistered guests will be turned away.
 
There are two ways to access the software:
·        Free mobile app.  Download GateHouse Solutions.  The Client code for all our residents is 164164.
·        Website www.carolinalakes.gatehouseportal.com.  You can also visit our community website where you may click the “Guest Pass” link on our homepage and it will redirect you. 
 
If you do not remember your username and password you may contact the POA office at 919-499-9122 or carolinalakespoa.office@gmail.com during business hours.  If you do not have access to a computer, smartphone, or tablet, or need special accommodations, please contact the office for more information.
 
Important information to remember:
·        All login credentials are case-sensitive.
·        E-passes should be sent to visitors.  This speeds the entry process, reduces operating costs, and conserves resources. 
·        If you require assistance outside business hours, you will need to visit the gate house and register your guest in person- only residents registered in the POA office can authorize visitors.  VALID PHOTO ID IS REQUIRED.
·        Due to security changes within GateHouse, the office can no longer provide passwords to users.  Staff can do a temporary reset or users can  retrieve their passwords by email.  Please make sure the email account in GateHouse is still valid. 
 
Residents should remind guests before coming through the gate:
·        VALID PHOTO ID IS REQUIRED.
·        Visitors must come through the left (visitor) lane.
·        All vehicles in the visitor lane must stop and wait for an attendant. 
 
Who needs a guest pass?
 
Requires a guest pass:
·        Friends/family
·        Infrequent tutors/babysitters/nannies.  If entering CLPOA more than 2x/month they must obtain a vendor decal and will no longer require a guest pass.  Please contact the office for additional information.
·        Infrequent healthcare providers.  If entering CLPOA more than 2x/month they must obtain a vendor decal and will no longer require a guest pass.  Please contact the office for additional information.
·        Vendors without a work order/contract or current decal- residents should check with their vendors before issuing a pass.
Does not require a guest pass:
·        Emergency services
·        Parcel delivery such as USPS, FedEx, UPS
·        Food delivery services
·        Real Estate agents (agents must accompany prospective renters/buyers)
 
Vendors must have ONE of the following: a valid work order, contract, or vendor decal.  Paperwork must show the property address they are going to.
